Background Motivation

  • GP’s are disappearing – doctors lack time for patients – little or no counseling given
  • Medical schemes dictate rates and therefore time given to each patient
  • People do not track their own health
  • Clients are bombarded with information and misinformation from all directions – do not understand and do not trust
  • Clients are willing to take responsibility for their own health, but they need assistance and facilitation
  • Health is the most valuable asset of all humans
  • Personal time and attention is a rare commodity in our present hurried lives
  • Health is such an integral and vital part of life, and thus life and health coaching go hand in hand to achieve one’s full potential

Approach

My approach, somewhat different, is the following. I believe that if you empower people with true, factually based scientific knowledge coupled to understanding, they can fully determine their own destiny through the exercise of lifestyle choices that are truly sustainable. This excludes one month diets; present and future fads; and popular beliefs that are often without scientific foundation. In addition, should the need arise, I can help any particular person understand a specific health problem.

Knowledge based scientific fact will be interwoven with practical implementation guidelines.
Thus there are 3 levels to the process:

  • Understand
  • Decide
  • Action

Facilitation and professional support will be provided throughout this process.

Consultations

My Personal Aim: To empower you with understanding of your body’s function and metabolism, which will then enable you to make your own lifestyle choices, which with ongoing facilitation, will become a sustainable way of life.

My Objective for You: To live life to the fullest by enjoying good, vibrant health now and in the future.

Facilitation: Studies have shown that health facilitation and motivation is the most effective strategy for achieving great and permanent health.

Consultation duration: 2.5 hours, preferably with husband and wife both present.

Facilitation and follow up thereafter: I will contact you regularly in the first month. At the end of this period we will then discuss your further needs.

Preparation prior to consultation: 
In order to make the most of our time together, please fax, email or bring with:

  1. The completed personal details form sent to you
  2. Results of any blood tests done recently or any recent doctors reports
  3. Your business card
  4. Payment : electronically for the consultation and provide proof thereof ; alternatively, by cheque or cash at the time of consultation
    Cost of this consultation is not recoverable from your medical aid
